Finished up backcountry hiking on Sunday - about 7 miles with a loaded pack. Was sick IMMEDIATELY after... apparently, sleeping in a tent at 12 degrees is too cold when my immune system is comprimised. Didn't run at all for the week, since I did not feel well.


A decent week of running, considering the cold and that I had 2 days of leg workouts. Also, on Saturday, did some wilderness hiking with a loaded pack... ran about 4 miles without the pack to check out different campsites.

Added weights and plyometrics into my workout routine... since it was the first time, it killed me! I was sore for 3 days, and could only manage to run on one of those days. But, I think it will be good to work the muscles that don't usually get worked by running. I will probably work out twice next week.

2008 New Year

My toe wouldn't let me run the beginning of the week. I managed to run a few days at the end. Although it is still a little tender, it handled the miles pretty good. Hopefully next week will be almost back to normal - although, I plan on starting some weights and plyometrics, so it won't be completely back to normal.
